In March 2009, the Academy for the Performing Arts at Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, Calif. produced The House of Blue Leaves. Behind the scenes, student photojournalist Michael Chan Yee documented it all. This is the story of the cast and crew behind this production.

I am an alumnus of Cal State Long Beach and the former photo editor Daily 49er newspaper. I specialize in sunsets at the Bolsa Chica Wetlands, press assignments, and covering long-term projects such as jobs, classes, and internships in photo books. My setup includes a 20D, 17-55mm, and the SX110 pocket camera.
