September 2015
Using the city of Chengdu in Sichuan as a base, the group, led by
Christopher Bailes and Raymond Evison of the Royal Horticultural Society
and guided by George Pu of Wendy Wu Travel,
traveled through the highlands of Sichuan and Yunnan on the Tibetan border.
They experienced the unbelievably diverse plant life (a fraction of which is illustrated here)
and breath-taking scenery through the haunts of the famous plant hunters of the 19th and early 20th century:
George Forrest, Frank Kingdon-Ward, E. H. Wilson and Joseph Rock.
Plant List by Christopher Bailes: pp 114-128
