À propos du livre
The book also documents the history of my ancestors, as well as the history of the town, the history of the railway responsible for
getting my ancestors to Chelmsford, and the mining industry as I experienced it.
2009 marks the 50th year since I left home to go to the University of Toronto to study Industrial Engineering. So my memories may not always be complete or accurate, and they may not always agree with others' recollections of how things were.
So I caution all the readers to keep in mind that I titled this "As I Remember...", because right or wrong, it is the way I remember "growing up on the farm"

I left the farm in 1959 to attend the University of Toronto, where I obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering, I spent the first 18 years of my career with the T.Eaton Company Limited, in Toronto and Montreal, where I rose to be General Merchandise Manager for Eastern Canada. I left Eaton's in 1981 to join Comark Inc, where I created and became the President of Brettons Inc., a chain of high-end apparel and accessories stores. After leaving Brettons and spending two years consulting to the retail industry, I opened a Pro Hardware store in Peterborough, Ontario, which I operated with my wife June until 2001.
