THE 35TH ANNUAL BILTMORE VILLAGE CRAFT AND ART FAIR
Each summer during the first weekend of August the New Morning Gallery of Biltmore village organizes an Asheville, NC, craft and art fair of invited artists from far and near. For two days under shading trees on the grounds of All Souls Episcopal Cathedral a medieval village of white tents springs up, made brilliant by artists of every kind. The church provides refreshments with the proceeds funding good causes. This year a flutist and harpist played as visitors and residents strolled past the booths. These personal photographs are an individual response to a random selection of the artists as they sat in their booths in the presence of their work, but with the emphasis on the artists rather than on their work.

À propos du créateur
Bill Mosher
Asheville, North Carolina
I grew up in India where my parents were Presbyterian agricultural missionaries and have taught at Warren Wilson College most of my life. My photographs are of north India and Sri Lanka where I have traveled many times; of Germany, which is my wife, Kathe's, home; and of the Swannanoa Valley and Asheville, North Carolina and of students and staff at Warren Wilson College, in Swannanoa just outside Asheville. Lately I have also been photographing weddings at Hidden River Events.
