À propos du livre
After some years of professional experience Roberto felt the need to provide to his native city the possibility to enrich the cultural sector related to the performing arts.
That’s how the idea of putting all together different cultures, ideologies, artistic points of view, sociability and high technical knowledge on contemporary dance in a same physical place came about.
Summer 2009 will be the 6th year that we are literally celebrating the encounter between 100 dancers from all over the world with around 11 professional teachers in the city of DELTEBRE.
The WORKSHOP DELTEBRE has triggered interest not only at national level but also internationally, attracting a progression of participants. Over the past four years participants have come from around 28 different countries. Some people might ask why develop such activity in a city like DELTEBRE?
DELTEBRE is an ancient and beautiful city, geographically placed in a very rich natural environment. Its architecture and the close proximity of river and mountains inspire creativity in a very special way. The nature that surrounds the city makes those landscapes seem less urban, yet there is a strong sense of many different peoples and cultures in its history.
Moreover, we want to help to decentralize from the big cities the very specialized formation and education of the performing arts at a professional level. Ultimately we want to shorten the distance between public and performers, to finally create a better understanding and familiarity.
Everybody knows that in the month of July the Mediterranean countries are in the period of the summer season. So we want to combine the practice of dance, the learning of it and the physical/mental training with the opportunity of sharing classes with other professionals and students of other nationalities and cultures. We consider it a real pleasure to enjoy the art of dancing in such a natural environment.
