This book is a history of the Hauenstein, Hikes, and Chappell Families from Louisville Kentucky. This branch of Hikes family history followings Andrew Hikes the youngest son of George Hikes of Hikes Point; through to Mary Hikes whose mother was Mary Vernon of the Hadden Hall Vernon's who where married into the Louisville Fontaines of Fountain Ferry Park.



The remainder of the book focuses on the Hauenstein and Chappell family and personal family photos; with a focus on Dorothy Hauenstein and Andrew Chappell and their children Charles and Bill.

I have done much research on my family history with the help of ancestry.com and google books. I have collaborated with family members to collect family photos and stories to create books illustrating the family history of the Chappell's and Stapleton's. Both families have extensive histories in the Kentucky and Virginia as far back as the 1600's. I was born in Louisville Kentucky. After my tour of duty in the U.S. Army I attended the University of Louisville and received my B.S. in business in 2003. I spent my youth studying many forms of classical dance and have always had a great interest in writing and world cultures.
