À propos du livre
Through my photography, I have tried to highlight the diverse wildlife and landscapes of the archipelago and include the people and culture of the islands. Even though this book provides just a glimpse at this amazing environment, I hope that it engenders in the reader an appreciation for these unique islands and how crucial it is that we protect and preserve them.

À propos du créateur
I am a special education science and Spanish teacher. Along with teaching, I run my own photography business, A Unique View Photography. I have been published in National Geographic and Parade Magazine and won numerous contests at both the local and international levels. My photos have even appeared on the Kodak screen at Time's Square in New York City. I am interested in topics that deal with environmental and conservation issues around the world. Over the past several years I have received fellowships to work with the NOAA Teacher at Sea Program, National Endowment for Humanities at the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, Japan-U.S. Teacher Exchange program for sustainable development, Earthwatch program on climate change in mammals of Nova Scotia, and the Toyota International Teacher Program to the Galapagos Islands to learn about environmental sustainability.
