The Spanish city of León is one of the key places on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. It is also Spain's 2018 capital of gastronomy and a great base from which to explore the country's lesser-known northwest region. This book resulted from a three-month study abroad program offered by the University of Washington. Included are images of visits to the Roman gold mines at Las Medulas, the Iron Age village of Castro de Baroña in Galicia and side trips to San Sebastian and Bilbao in the Basque Country.
