Duets wasn’t a plan. Marianne began noticing clothing combinations in fascinating and unusual patterns. Polka dots with cutout eyelets, zebra stripes with more zebra stripes and lace on lace all jumped out. From there the book expanded to obvious pairs, forever pairs and just twins of anything that seemed interesting. Tom accidently contributed a photo when he snapped twin cartons of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cartons with spoons. The remainder of the photos were taken by Marianne.

Hipstamatic’s Loftus lens (named after food photographer David Loftus) was combined with Love 81 film (dedicated to Jamaican photographer Ruddy Roye) for editing all images in Duets.

And yes, the title for the book is a homage to Mr. Sinatra and his best-selling albums of the same name.
