Aurtistic Zine is a DSTL Arts publication focused on acceptance and showcasing the diverse talents of autistic individuals as well as their family members. With this zine we hope to provide a platform that highlights the strengths of the autism community. We want to show the individual as a whole person and not just a missing piece to a puzzle.

For the inaugural issue, our theme was "Accepting the Diagnosis," and we asked contributors to consider the following questions, representing their answers in an artistic way: As an individual, what did you experience when you learned you were Autistic? Was it something you embraced, or was it a difficult road to acceptance? As a supportive family member what has your experience been? Where you surprised by the diagnosis, or did you struggle with the label?
