À propos du livre
MY STORY
These characters arrived on a sharp point of lead;
each ran quickly, as if being chased out of my head!
They had sat in a black closet for years, left so alone;
like THE CHURCH people, I guess all needed a home!
Once again, that history is one we do not know;
it must be left up for these people to tell me and show.
I will follow their directions and lead, thru page after page;
how can any writer begin to understand the absurdity and rage!
THE TOWN and its folks are complicated to define;
the Castle and Count make one question your own mind.
Of course, it is my charge to create sense of things I am told;
bear with me, when struggling brings you into this jumbled fold!
Maybe you’ll run over the Crossing like citizens before;
some, I am told, regretted ever closing that Town’s door!
There were those people whose life was better, we are sure.
Count Pickwick made certain most leaving would remain poor.
Your personal invitation into this wedding place has been sent;
simply turn a page, I presume the corner isn’t bent!
