This book covers the first 50 days of a project that several Walking the Land artist’s undertook for the Arnolfini Gallery's ‘100 Day Countdown’ initiative that stimulated events in the lead up to the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.
Over the period of the 100 days, artist Kel Portman recorded his slow, reflective walks of 100 paces through photographs and words. During the walks he contemplating aspects of climate change, focussing on the threat to The River Severn which flows through his home county of Gloucestershire.
