After seeing programs on TV about the Snow Monkeys of Japan I have always wanted to photograph them. I got my chance when my son, Brennan, was stationed in Japan with the Navy. We went to the Snow Monkey Park for the first time in 2006 and although we saw lots of monkeys there was little snow. There was more snow when we returned in 2007 but on our third visit in 2008 the conditions were perfect.



The book contains not only images from the three visits but also images from our stay at a traditional Japanese Ryokan (hotel) and a writen journal or all three visits.
