Quinton Gordon (b.1967) is a Canadian artist and photographer whose work deals with our relationship to culture, landscape and notions of identity and belonging. He has published and exhibited widely and his photographs reside in both public and private collections internationally. In 2012 he published his first critically acclaimed monograph, Mile Zero: A Place Uncertain and is currently working on Nowhere Is A Place, due to publish in late 2019. In September 2018 he released a new portfolio of work entitled DUSK, photographs made on the edge of light as day becomes night, using a wholeplate view camera and orthochromatic paper negatives, this series renders a unique and beautiful silver gelatin contact print on a cotton based paper. Outside of his own professional art practice, Quinton is an active public speaker and workshop instructor. He holds a position as the Manager of Strategic Engagement with the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria.
