In 2013, Melinda Hoyt achieved her lifelong dream of living and working overseas. For the next 18 months, she and her husband documented what it was like to experience life as an expat in Shanghai, China, to be immersed in a foreign culture, and to confront life far from familiar surroundings. Through good times, and challenging times, they developed a new perspective on life that stays with them to this day.
