Daryl Hutchinson (born November 28, 1955) is a Michigan based illustrator and designer who has produced book covers, illustrations, and album covers. The majority of his work is based on the writings of H. P. Lovecraft. His most notable work is “The H.P. Lovecraft Tarot” first published in a limited edition of 500 copies in 1997 by Mythos Books. A second edition of 1000 copies was published on October 31, 2002. With the dissolution of Mythos Books, a third edition was published by Black Moon Publishing in 2025. In 1988, Fantagraphics Press published the Edgar Allen Poe inspired magazine “The Tell Tale Heart”, a collaborative effort with his artist brother Joe. Daryl and Joe created cover art for the Detroit tabloid “Fun Magazine” in the 1980’s. In 2023, Daryl worked with Oniricous lead singer and guitarist Joaquín Granero on cover art for the album “Los Cultos del Ghoul, by the Spanish death metal band Oniricous, born from the ashes of GHUL.
