Bishop Lamont Tellis, Sr., a Portland Oregon area native, received Christ at the age of 12. He was called to the ministry in 1963, at age 16, and licensed by the late Bishop Louis Osborn Sr. the same year.
He served as Assistant Youth Pastor, State Public Relations Director, Senior Pastor, District Superintendent, State Evangelist, State Executive Secretary, State Executive Board Member, Jurisdictional Bishop, Regional Coordinator for Black Ministries, Regional Missions Board Member and Television host on the TBN network.
His past and current civic duties include: High school teacher, the first Commander of the Portland Inner-City Civil Air Patrol Squadron, President of Blacks in Government Military Chapter, Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children ,Crisis Response Team volunteer with the Portland Police Bureau, CEO of Visions Staffing Service and a 1997 nominee for the President's Service Award.
