Bio
Erik Schurink is a visual artist and language artist with a preference for writing with constraints, often exploring contextual visual representation. Alchemist by chance, designer Erik finds gold hidden in Jamison’s knees, Lubalin’s marks, Neruda’s odes, Pythagoras’ quest, Rembrandt’s sunbeams, Tinguely’s uselessness, vowels, Whiteread’s xanadus, yesterday’s zaniness.
He curates and leads monthly Writhing Society workshops at Brooklyn’s Central Library. His poetry and other writings are featured in 13 Writhing Machines, AMP: Always Electric, Upstart: Journal of English Renaissance Studies, Cryptozoo (Proteotypes), and Abecedarium:NYC.
