My father inspired my passion for cameras and photography. I have always had a love for Street Photography; indeed my first published photograph was of non-matching speed limit road signs. This made the front page of my local newspaper whilst I was still at school.

I try to take a camera with me wherever I go. Although brought up on film, I like the immediacy of digital, so I was an early adopter of digital. Over the years I have used various cameras for my street work, always looking for the ‘perfect’ camera. For the last few years I have been shooting with the excellent Fuji X series range of cameras.

In Street photography the images I am attracted to the most and the ones that I try to achieve, are those with an element of humour in them. Of course not very trip into town yields a winning image, but there’s always next time ……
