Award-winning artist Sarah Brayer is known internationally for her poured washi paperworks and aquatint prints. Drawn to Japanese art through the aquatints of Mary Cassatt, Sarah came to Japan with a backpack in hand in 1979. In 1986 she opened her own print studio in an old kimono factory in Kyoto. She has created over 230 print editions in numerous mediums which are documented in this catalog raisonne, called " The Complete Prints 1980-2016." Recognized by the Ministry of Culture in Japan for her unique contribution to contemporary art through her use of Japanese washi, Brayer resides in Kyoto Japan.
