Born in 2002, Spanish center-back Rafa Marin is a rising defensive talent who honed his skills in Real Madrid’s youth academy. Initially developed through the youth systems of Sevilla and Real Madrid, Marin advanced to Real Madrid Castilla, the club’s reserve team, during the 2021-22 season, where he gained valuable professional experience. Marin’s breakthrough came in the 2023-24 season when he was loaned to Deportivo Alavés to gain experience in Spain’s top league. A highly-regarded graduate of Real Madrid’s academy, Marin quickly secured a starting role as a center-back.
