Paul Barden

United States
À propos

Paul has been making photographs since he was 13 when his grandmother gave him a Kodak Brownie Starflash camera, and he learned to process his own film and make prints in the family bathroom in the evenings.

In his twenties, Paul attended the Ontario College of Art where he pursued photography as his main interest, after which he became an active participant in the commercial and art photography communities.

After a decade of exploring digital photography as an alternative to traditional processes, Paul returned to analog photography in 2012 for its rich sense of craft. Currently, his work emphasizes the wet plate collodion process, one of the most technically demanding (and rewarding) processes of all.
